Knowledge@BCG consists of the Knowledge Team (KT), Data & Research Services (DRS) and Knowledge & Collaboration Solution (KCS). KT is a group of experts within respective fields or areas providing industry, functional and geographic expertise to consulting teams. KT members are aligned to Practice Areas, sometimes serving as members of case or project teams. KT offers insight into a topic or function derived from BCG's knowledge base and case/project experience. The members of our DRS team work alongside consulting team colleagues to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. KCS team is a cross-functional team equipping BCGers with internal and external knowledge resources and digital collaboration tools, enabling them to work smarter and with increased productivity

What You'll Do

As a Research Intern within BCG’s Data and Research Service (DRS) function, you will play an important part of our Costa Rica DRS team. You’ll collaborate on challenging research projects with team members from many backgrounds and disciplines, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you in the future. You will be supporting the delivery of secondary research, enriching BCG's client work and internal development initiatives. Your task will often include working side by side with DRS colleagues. When assigned with research requests, you will work on encapsulating data and facts in an email, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word formats. One of the highlights of your internship will be your onboarding and upskilling process where you will be introduced to a consulting toolkit and research proficiency.

Engaging with teamsIn a rich and fast-paced environment, you will engage with our Consulting and Knowledge Teams on a daily basis aiming to understand and deliver relevant data and information in a timely manner in different practice areas.Learning Analytical ThinkingOne important aspect of your internship will be learning research analysis, including: methods, databases, and tools, synthesis & packaging.Working Accurately in a Fast Paced EnvironmentUnder direct supervision, you will work on clarifying research objectives and effectively discuss potential research approaches.Collaborating and Working Independently You will work closely with the DRS team, embracing the highest level of quality and customer service, while also involving in quality assurance processes.Seeking Professional DevelopmentYour internship will provide ample learning opportunities to grow while building your research knowledge base.Clear CommunicationEffective communication skills will be essential for your role, with a strong emphasis on building soft skills.

What You'll Bring

Ideal candidates are one year away from completing an undergraduate degree in business or a related field, with no work experience required. English proficiency and the ability to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential. Relevant academic or extracurricular activity is a plus.
