Primary Function The Data Retention Analyst will lead and execute SAP data archiving projects, optimizing system performance and ensuring compliance with data retention policies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP ArchiveLink, DaRT, ILM, and managing archived data across various SAP modules. The incumbent will be responsible for legacy and current ERP data archiving, decommissioning, and destruction efforts by working with the business and global compliance to ensure data retention policies are enforced. They will also be responsible for applying these policies to all other database assets used throughout the enterprise. Responsibilities The Data Retention Analyst will work with global compliance to understand and collaborate on data retention guidelines as it pertains to digital data assets. They will create and apply processes to implement the retention guidelines and educate business partners on how the guidelines are being applied to the functional areas. They will also support the Enterprise Data Management team in creating and maintaining data policies throughout the data lifecycle as it relates to the creation, maintenance, archiving, and destruction of data assets. + Develop and implement SAP data archiving strategies. + Execute data archiving processes for modules like FI, CO, MM, and SD. + Create data policy for creation, archiving, and destruction of data assets. + Lead data archiving and decommissioning discussions and projects. + Ensure compliance with data retention policies and legal regulations. + Provide troubleshooting support for archiving jobs and storage. + Be able to organize workload based on team priorities. + Communicate effectively with various levels of the business. Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree with IT Experience. + 8+ years of SAP data archiving experience in ECC or S/4HANA. + Strong knowledge of SAP ArchiveLink, ADK, and ILM. + Experience with data compliance and retention tools. + Working Knowledge in SAP data archiving, ILM, DART, and SAP Content Server ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: + Knowledge of Retention Management. + Understands and can effectively communicate the role of Data archiving and retention policy to both business and technical communities + Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. + Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills. + Must demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines. + Must be able to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers.
