Responsibilities
We have an opportunity for a Data Science Intern to join our Berkley Regional Shared Services team! This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects that involve NLP and Generative AI, contributing to the transformation of our insurance operations.

Key functions include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the data science team to develop and implement NLP models for various applications, such as claims processing, underwriting automation, and risk assessmentAssist in the design and development of Generative AI models to create innovative solutions for insurance operationsAnalyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-makingParticipate in the end-to-end machine learning pipeline, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deploymentConduct research on the latest advancements in NLP and Generative AI to keep our solutions at the forefront of technologyPresent findings and project progress to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related fieldKnowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is advantageousStrong understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithmsExperience with NLP techniques and frameworksFamiliarity with Generative AI models (e.g., GPT, GANs) and their applicationsProficiency in programming languages such as Python or RPrevious experience with insurance data or projects is a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
