Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tAssist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing from various sources using Snowflake and Python.•\tPerform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.•\tSupport the development and implementation of predictive models and machine learning algorithms using AI/ML frameworks.•\tHelp build and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.•\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science projects.•\tDocument processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and compliance with company standards.•\tWork with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and project management.•\tAcquire practical experience to support the academic studies/course(s) and enhance personal employment opportunities.•\tMentoring and networking opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the\tBasic understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.\tProficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in relevant libraries.\tExperience with data visualization tools and libraries.\tFamiliarity with SQL and database management, preferably with Snowflake.\tBasic knowledge of cloud platforms, like Databricks, Azure Cloud and tools like Azure DevOps.\tStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.\tAbility to work collaboratively in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.\tExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.\tPrevious internship or project experience in data science or related fields.
