Data Science Solutions Consultant Sr.
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 233 South Wacker Drive, Suite 3700, Chicago, IL 60606.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Data Science Solutions Consultant Sr. will develop and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning models in production in on-premises and cloud enablement.
How you will make an impact:
• Participate in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools, utilizing various technology platforms both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Extract data loads from Teradata into the Hadoop environment and create Hive tables.
• Use Spark and Hive for data transformation, and analyze vast data stores to uncover insights
• Build distributed, reliable, and scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data in real-time.
• Code in Scala and script using shell scripts and work on Control-M job scheduling tool to schedule and monitor jobs.
• Mentor and guide the team by aligning them with overall product goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in related occupation(s).
Additional Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience must include:
• Three (3) years of experience in the software design and development life cycle.
• Three (3) years of experience in building end-to-end solutions for new business requirements and on-premises-to-cloud enablement in Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.
• Three (3) years of experience in the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools.
• Three (3) years of experience delivering projects using Spark, Python and other Big Data technologies in Hadoop ecosystem.
• Three (3) years of experience in SQL in relational databases including Teradata, Oracle & SQL Server.
• Three (3) years of experience extracting data loads from Teradata into a Hadoop environment and creating Hive tables.
• Three (3) years of experience using Spark and Hive for data transformation, including using Spark SQL to perform analysis of vast data stores and uncover insights.
• Three (3) years of experience in building distributed, reliable and scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data.
• Three (3) years of experience in mentoring and guiding team members by aligning them with overall product goals.
