Role Summary This Data Scientist will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making and innovation across the Electrical Hardware team, leveraging their expertise in data analysis to uncover insights and help solve complex engineering challenges. We are looking for someone with a solid technical background, who is able to partner with engineering leaders across the electronics organization to catalyze meaningful change via data analytics, tools, and structured reporting. Responsibilities ● Support a wide variety of analytical needs across the Electrical Hardware team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers ● Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive optimization and improvement of electrical hardware components & systems ● Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to technical audiences through compelling visualizations and presentations ● Take an active role in improving the tools, processes, and methods that the Electrical Hardware department uses on a daily basis Qualifications ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field ● 7+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry ● Solid understanding of electrical hardware principles and components ● Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data visualization tools ● Experience in leveraging AI tools to improve the speed and efficiency of data analysis ● Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Bay Area Based Applicants: $186,000 - $232,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law) Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26 Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
