What You Will Do:
Work with a diverse data science and analytical methodology team to support an IC Agency office with exploitation and production activities and process/data optimization. The Data Scientist will enable the execution of data access, data modeling, visualization, SOM and ABI for missions across the office. These resources will expose underlying data and services that provide content for dynamic viewers, support scripting and data fusion, and enable advanced analysis.

Apply advanced analytics capabilities to derive insights from a combination of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data.

Apply multidisciplinary mathematical and statistical models to large datasets to extract patterns, relationships, and anticipatory behavioral likelihoods that may not be apparent using traditional single discipline means.

Develop or improve upon and document tradecraft techniques and training solutions for discovery, preparation, manipulation, and normalization of big data so that methods are repeatable and can be explained to non-data scientist analysts.

Use mathematical concepts and techniques to solve complex GEOINT analysis problem sets; understand concepts associated with structured data and relational databases.

Conceptualize the relationship between a database structure and the requirements for analyzing and visualizing those data both temporally and spatially.

Work with various stakeholders to develop data strategies and provide the data necessary to meet mission requirements.


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph

Bachelor degree in a technical discipline​

THREE (3) or more years' experience with applied data processing and scientific analysis of large datasets.

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Pig or R), modeling software, spatial analysis tools and concepts, and analytic information extraction and visualization.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data mining, cleansing, and exploring spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data in both structured and unstructured formats.

Demonstrated experience with temporal and pattern analysis, correlation of events, probability analysis, assessments of sampling, analysis of variance and error, and regression testing and analysis.

Familiarity with EUCOM and/or PACOM missions

Experience using mathematical concepts and techniques to solve complex GEOINT analysis problem sets

Military experience

Professional certifications or advanced degrees
