Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist to join a team that identifies, develops, manages, and analyzes data (geospatial, force structure, and system characteristic), digital applications, and policy to support virtual, constructive, and gaming simulation-enabled Joint and Combatant Command training. This Data Scientist position will assist in improving the processes in which data is collected, managed, and converted. The Data Scientists responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Use mathematical and statistical techniques to interpret and analyze data produced by applications of the DDJTs Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE).  Coordinate with Data Engineers to build data environments providing data identified by stakeholders.  Design and automate processes and pipelines to facilitate the analysis of data.  Assist in management of DDJTs data and analytics operations including architecture, user requirements, software development, report development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) integration.  Analyze structured and unstructured data.  Conduct large scale data-processing using big data frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop.  Perform statistical modeling and create data visualizations.  Research, design, and implement algorithms to solve complex problems using R, Python, or similar languages.  Document and report on generated processes and procedures. Compensation: $57.69/hr to $60/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Data Science - 2+ years of experience with statistical modeling and data engineering. - Experience with Python data science tools (Numpy, Pandas/Polars, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow/PyTorch, PySpark, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh, etc) - Experience with Data Dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.). - Knowledge of database/technology/processes (PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, ETL, noSQL databases, etc.). - Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance. - Experience with curation of force structure, terrain, and system characteristic data for use in DoD Modeling & Simulation (M&S) training applications is a plus. - Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
