Data Scientist, Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV)

As a Data Scientist at Edwards THV, you will optimize the impact of programs across stakeholders by using deep analytical insights, machine learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
You will make an impact by...
Preparing and acquiring tabular, text, and imaging data for AI model development
Processing, cleansing, and verifying data integrity used for ML/AI model development
Analyzing, testing, interpreting, and reporting complex data-driven insights, algorithmic results, and ML/AI model performance
Developing, testing, and/or improving complex ML and AI algorithms on multimodal data
Cleansing and labeling structured and unstructured data in collaboration with team members
Providing input to design control documents including algorithm requirement specs, and risk documents
Researching new opportunities to integrate with additional data sources that support optimization
Conducting research and staying up to date with the latest advancements in ML, AI, NLP, and computer vision
What you'll need (Required):
Ph.D. Degree in related field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, or related) Or
Master's Degree in related field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, or related) Plus 1 year related experience
Proficiency in Python programming to manipulate large data sets Proven experience in ML/AI model development
Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques; Able to effectively communicate information through visuals

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels; Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

For California, the base pay range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000 (highly experienced).
