Job Title: Data Scientist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with data and subject matter experts to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use data and business insights. You will be responsible for training, validating, and deploying machine learning pipelines, testing, troubleshooting, and enhancing customer software applications, identifying application performance bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations. Additionally, you will write application specifications, tutorials, and documentation. Responsibilities + Collaborate with data and subject matter experts to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use data and business insights. + Train, validate, and deploy machine learning pipelines. + Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications. + Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations. + Write application specifications, tutorials, and documentation. Essential Skills + Strong mathematical knowledge in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics. + Proficiency in time-series data analysis, cleansing, and normalization. + Experience with scalable Machine Learning (MapReduce, streaming). + Software development experience with JavaScript and Python. + Must be eligible for US Secret clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields. + Applied Machine Learning experience (regression and classification, supervised and unsupervised learning). + Experience with Git or other version control software. Work Environment The work environment is collaborative and dynamic, involving close cooperation with data and subject matter experts. Technologies and equipment used include scalable machine learning tools, Python, JavaScript, and version control software such as Git. The role may require eligibility for US Secret clearance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $88.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
