Summary You will serve as a Data Scientist in the Force Readiness Analytics Group of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC. The FRAG enables senior leaders across Naval Aviation to make data-driven decisions through data analytics and purpose-built decision aids. You will lead a team of skilled data scientists and data engineers responsible for developing aviation maintenance-related analytics and decision aids. Pay Scale: GS-12 $101,234-$131,610 GS-13 120,381-$156,498 Responsibilities You will make data driven decisions through data analytics. You will prepare and present detailed maintenance reports to senior management and stakeholder. You will identify trends of inefficacies and inconsistencies by conducting deep dives into data. You will use reporting tools, statistical analysis and assessments for presentations and briefings to Naval Aviation leadership. You will manage resources allocation to ensure efficient progression and completion of project milestones and deliverables. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a field directly related to the position. Or You must have a combination of education and experience, where your courses are equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a field directly related to the position, plus additional education or appropriate experience that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
