Data Scientist

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Responsible for identifying key metrics and conducting in-depth analyses to guide business and inform strategy decisions. Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, Account Management, and Risk to help upsell and cross-sell products and to help improve our partners and merchants’ experience. Frame a business issue and design the right analysis to find the answers. Develop insights and build narratives to support key initiatives. Collaborate with various internal teams and stakeholders across the company to develop insights and analytics solutions for both internal and external clients. Conduct in-depth analyses and build statistical models to identify trends and key drivers that inform important decisions in product, sales, risk, and operations. Build data visualization by leveraging existing tools or developing new ones, as well as providing ongoing enhancements to business dashboards. Implement processes and build tools to make data access, extraction, and analysis more efficient. Build and grow relationships with internal teams to proactively identify business needs and address them using analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or Data Scientist, Decision Analytics Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: SQL; Statistical Analysis and Computing; Machine Learning and Predictive Modelling including Regression Models, Tree-Based Models, and Time-Series Forecasting; Deep Learning; Feature Engineering; Data Visualization including Looker, Power-BI, and Microsoft Powerpoint; Data Wrangling; Business Process Modelling; Big Data; Data Science Management; Analytics Strategy; Project Management; Probability Distributions including Binomial and Normal Distribution; Hypothesis Testing; Data Cleaning; Processing, Manipulation, and Transformation; Statistical Significance Testing including Z-test, T-test, and ANOVA; Project Storyboarding; Advanced Microsoft Excel; and Python Programming.

Full-Time. Salary:  $173,945 - $175,000 per year.
