Data Scientist II
OVERVIEW Responsible for supporting the organizational strategy by leveraging data to drive business decisions, increase efficiency and enhance employee and customer experiences. Leverages advanced analytical methods using both structured and unstructured data to extract meaningful business insights and drive value through data. Responsible for assisting in creating best practices around code repository, model tuning and evaluation, and model production. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) Design and develop the appropriate algorithms and machine learning models to use against complex datasets to create business insights. Develop and implement quantitative analyses, predictive models and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and identify cause-effect relationships between business actions and employee and customer outcomes Collaborating with our data engineers to gather the right information from various sources in order to implement advanced statistical methodologies. Participates in large project teams by serving as a technical lead for analytics projects. May lead small projects and work independently on solution development. Develop process and tools that monitor, analyze and improve model performance and data accuracy. Partners with the assigned business function to better understand defined problem/opportunity and incorporate business specific knowledge into feature creation and model development. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Should be able to work across functions and effectively present, recommend and communicate a position by demonstrating its value and tradeoffs. QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with an emphasis in a financial, statistical, or analytical discipline required. Master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred. Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in Financial, Statistical, or Data Science Analyst related field required. Advanced in SQL and one of either R/Python required. Knowledge of cloud based Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform such as Databricks or AWS Sagemaker Knowledge of Tableau and/or other data visualization tools.
