Role Purpose
The Data Scientist III role is within the FNB Connect Data & Analytics Office with a dedicated focus to Connect Sales. The role responsibilities include supporting the sales team campaigns and digital strategies by generating insightful and actionable data deliverables. Support campaign build, execution reporting, monitor and improve nonperforming campaigns through customer segmentation and data analytics. As well as present campaign results to sales leads management team.

Role Requirements
Data insights on customer base likely to resonate with Connect campaigns.
Data extraction, campaign build, execution, monitoring and performance reporting.
Knowledge of adobe campaign process, triage and investigate failed campaign files.
Work with wider bank stakeholders to automate Connect Sales ongoing campaigns.
Detailed campaign reporting, AB test reporting and working knowledge of Power BI reporting.
Enhancements to nonperforming campaigns through data insights.
In depth data analysis on Connect offer loads, displays, clicks and personalized wording.
Ad-hoc data exploration analysis: data insights on non-penetrated customer base across SIM, Device and Voucher business.
Profiling on sales opportunities and detailed insights on sales flow decays.
Develop new propensity to take up and recommendation models.
Develop customer hyper-segmentation target models.
Develop customer features to help with campaign opportunity pools and predictive models.
Maintain ownership of data deliverables and predictive models through regular audits and updates to ensure relevance.
Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with relevant peers and stakeholders to achieve productivity synergies.
Implement algorithms and automation techniques using languages such as SAS, Python or R libraries.
Stay curious and adaptable, continuously learning and improving in a fast-paced, evolving field.
Prior experience and exposure to sales and marketing data analytics will be advantageous.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification: Have a relevant Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science
Preferred Qualification: Honours Degree
Experience: A minimum of 5 - 7 years' relevant experience within.
Solid experience in customer segmentation and predictive modelling is preferred.
Intermediate to advanced coding skills in SAS.
Intermediate knowledge on advanced analytical techniques e.g., statistical methods, segmentation, optimisation and experimental design.
