In this role you will utilize statistical and machine learning techniques, high-performance data architectures and technologies to address complex business problems and analyze large, unstructured data sets. This role is part of the VBO Business case for modeling value-based contracts. We are a friendly and collaborative team that focuses on achievements. This position is remote.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Engage business leadership, internal stakeholders, and technology partners to discuss the business benefits that Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can provide.
Lead evangelization and Data Science service education activities to stakeholders and internal customers.
Lead problem formulation, model building and leverages, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology working directly with data to define analytics and synthesize findings that address customer requirements for value generation.
Advise customers and prospects on technology and tool selection to best meet their emerging analytics requirements and to best drive value-generation on existing and future data.
Lead the launch and implementation of proof-of-concept projects and subsequently operationalize successful concepts.
Keep up with developments in data science and their potential applications to the organization.
Actively contribute to scientific literature and academic partnerships.
Actively contribute to Data Science education to stakeholders and internal customers educating the field on how to communicate the vision and value of advanced analytics, how to qualify interested prospects, and how to propose Data Science services.
Lead in relationship development and technology evaluation for new prospective enterprise partnerships.
Lead the instruction of Analytics University curriculum to Cleveland Clinic caregivers.
Provide independent peer review model assessment and feedback communication.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistician, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English and ability to explain the value of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to business leaders.
Six years of related experience working with relational databases and/or distributed computing platforms, and their query interfaces, such as SQL, Teradata, MapReduce, PIG, and Hive.
OR Ph.D. and 2 years of relevant experience.
OR Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience working with a variety of statistical languages/packages, e.g., SAS, R, Python, Spark, and/or SPSS.
Knowledge applying advanced statistics to complex business problems (e.g. modeling, AI, ML, Deep Learning [DL], and/or Natural Language Processing [NLP]).
Familiarity with additional programming languages, including Python, Java, or C/C++.
Experience leveraging visualization software and techniques and business intelligence (BI) software.
Technical knowledge of distributed computing platforms, and common data processes flows from data instrumentation & generation, to ETL, to the data warehouse itself.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, including presentation, influencing and negotiation.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s or Ph. D.
Certification or fellowship in analytics, big data, data science or related subject.
Technology partner certification (in technology, Big data, business or advanced analytics, data science) – Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata, IBM, EMC, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Informatica, Tableau, SAS, R, Python.
Healthcare or life science experience.
Leadership experience.
Lead Experience with project management and change management methodologies.
