Data Scientist - Information Extraction
**ManTech** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Data Scientist - Information Extraction** to join our team in **Philadelphia, PA** . This is an **onsite** position. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Develops, analyzes and models operational and technical data to document ship system configuration and performance, evaluate potential operational changes, and identify potential vulnerabilities. + Designs, implements, and supports data pipelines from both public and non-public data sources, and designs, implements, and maintains ontologies. + Applies and integrates statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high-volume data from a variety of sources. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. + Works independently with minimal guidance acting as a resource for colleagues and other team members. + Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas. + Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Can explain complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus for optimum technical approach. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program, or MS Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning. + 5+ years of professional experience with data science, statistics, and graph algorithms to support analytics objectives, using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests, and/or Antigravity. + 2+ more years of experience in software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts, performing Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and Data Modeling, and developing or cleaning data corpora. + 1+ years of experience in developing or applying Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KR&R) tools, techniques, and algorithms, as well as developing High Performance Computing (HPC) codes and/or optimizing parallelization and storage aspects of HPC processing pipelines. + DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE). + Requires in-depth knowledge and experience of Navy operational and management procedures. **Clearance Requirements:** + The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting this position. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. + Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
