The Data Scientist specializing in Customer Data Platform (CDP) plays a pivotal role in leveraging data science techniques to extract insights from customer data within the CDP. Responsible for developing advanced analytics solutions to enhance customer segmentation, personalization, and overall customer experience. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize customer engagement strategies.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing Analytics and Reporting and with significant visibility at the AVEVA leadership team. The job holder will work closely with the stakeholders across marketing, including product marketing, demand center, regional marketing, and sales operations. This team member will have the ability to clearly communicate performance, insight, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

In the role, the candidate would be a strong team player with exceptional marketing performance reporting understanding. This position will work side-by-side with the Director of Marketing Analytics and Reporting as well as the Americas, APAC and EMEA marketing operations team. It is also critical that this role build a strong working relationship with Sales Operations.

Responsibilities

Utilize data science methodologies to analyze and extract insights from customer data within the CDP.

Develop predictive models, propensity scores, and customer lifetime value models to optimize customer segmentation and targeting.

Implement machine learning algorithms to drive personalized customer experiences and increase customer engagement.

Collaborate with data engineers and data architects to ensure seamless integration of data sources into the CDP.

Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to understand business objectives and translate them into data science solutions.

Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Continuously monitor and evaluate model performance, making improvements as necessary to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data science and customer analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, marketing, sales, and product development.

Liaise with IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with business objectives.

Skills and Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

3-5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on customer analytics and Journey mapping.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.

Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs) specifically experience with Tealium

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Proven track record of delivering data science solutions that drive business impact.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Salary Range:

$97,100.00 - $161,900.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
