As a Data Scientist within the Fundamental Data Science portfolio management team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will design, build, and apply AI/ML techniques to make meaningful contributions to the team’s proprietary investment process. In partnership with the team, your problem-solving capabilities will help to identify investment opportunities for the US Equity portfolios managed by the team. 

Job Responsibilities:

Design and utilize advanced AI/ML techniques to analyze a diverse variety of financial information  Build and apply predictive forecasts to research potential investment opportunities Design efficient and highly scalable processing and modeling pipelines for financial data Remain up to date with the latest developments in AI through research and experimentation Assist in the management of the team’s investment process and portfolios Deploy pipelines and models in a production setting Develop insights and actionable recommendations from data analysis

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

3+ years of relevant data science experience working with large-scale datasets and large models in both a research and production capacity Strong proficiency in Python Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling across a variety of data formats, including time series and natural language data Experience deploying models and pipelines in a production setting Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow) Intellectual curiosity and passion for problem solving within financial markets

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Experience building predictive models with financial datasets Demonstrated success bringing large-scale projects from research to production Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) Understanding of financial markets and investment strategies is highly desirable
