Data Scientist - Remote

Job Description
A start-up in the Bay Area is looking for a Data Scientist to join their team on a short 4 week project, fully remote role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Statistics, and Time-Series Analysis to support their research project on frailty detection. In this role, you will analyze movement patterns from heat sensor data to develop and validate algorithms that predict frailty status in older adults. By contributing to this project, you will play a vital role in developing a transformative technology that enhances the health and quality of life for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis
- Analyze time-series data from heat sensors.
- Validate algorithms against wearable sensor data (ActivPAL) and clinical frailty assessments.
2. Collaborative Research
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure high-quality data interpretation and algorithm development.
- Provide insights to improve the accuracy and performance of the frailty prediction models.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Document all analyses, methodologies, and findings.
- Prepare reports or presentations summarizing key results.
Pay Range for this role is: $48 - $50 per hour
