As a Data Scientist Sr. Manager within our Data Analytics & Reporting Team, you will support advanced analytics using a variety of modeling methods, algorithms, and techniques. You will play a key role in the development of our goals and strategies, leading and coordinating resources to ensure success. This role provides an opportunity to apply your skills in predictive modeling, text mining, statistical forecasting and analysis, optimization, and simulation modeling, making a significant impact on our function or department.
Job Responsibilities
Converts data to actionable insights, and leverages data visualization tools to effectively tell a story Develops advanced analytics using a limited assortment of modeling methods, algorithms and techniques, e.g., predictive modeling, text mining, statistical forecasting and analysis, optimization, and simulation modeling Uses data analysis techniques to develop insights that lead to new recommendations presented to management Leverages a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze a variety of datasets to solve complex, unstructured business problems Develops statistical models and designs controlled experiments to test ideas and validate hypotheses Researches, develops and implements new methods of measuring and analyzing data sets and processes Works with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize and analyze data Is responsible for decisions and recommendations that are guided by analytics that generally will have limited impact on company revenues/assets. Functions as a lead contributor with advanced knowledge of area of specialization and significant exposure to broad department activitiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Generally 3+ years of related experience Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field Intermediate knowledge of statistical software packages and message based data tools, including SAS, Python, SQL and R Basic knowledge of practical use of Advanced Statistics Knowledge of Data Mining & Visualization. Strong story telling capabilities Domain Expertise. Software Engineering ML Techniques. Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning Theory / Research Adept at navigating relational databases Practical knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, text mining Comfortable explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertisePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Post graduate study in a related field with 2+ years advanced analytics experience in large data environment
