Data Scientist Vice President - Consumer & Business Intelligence

As a Data Scientist Vice President in Consumer & Business Intelligence team you will help drive the analytics workflow and development by deploying cutting edge approaches to data wrangling, analysis, and visualization of macroeconomic and financial data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and drive strategic initiatives, ensuring impactful business outcomes.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and lead complex analytics projects from inception to delivery in partnership with other data scientists, economists, product owners, and strategists on the teamPlay a leading role in establishing and executing the team’s data strategyRecognize and communicate meaningful trends/patterns in data as it relates to consumer and business healthCollaborate and explore emerging trends in income, spend, savings and credit with other economists, econometricians and data scientistsUtilize advanced analytical and econometric techniques to uncover detailed explanations of broader economic trendsIdentify and validate data sources and qualityClearly, carefully, and quickly articulate discoveries with solid data supportContribute to the critical thinking and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment that prides itself on attention to detail and resultsHelp develop presentations to summarize and communicate key messages to senior management, sponsors and colleaguesContribute to the continuous learning mindset of the organization by bringing in new ideas and perspectives that stretch the thinking of the group

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

5+ years’ experience working in a data science or econometrician role and a BS degree in a related fieldSubstantial experience with SQLHighly proficient in Python or R for data analyticsExposure to a variety of machine learning and econometric modelling tools and techniquesClear and succinct written and verbal communication - able to frame and present messages for different audiencesCritical and analytical thinkingAbility to work independently and manage shifting priorities and projectsAbility to maintain detail focus and retain big picture perspectiveExcellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Master’s degree in relevant field preferredDemonstrated commitment to innovation through patents, publications, conference presentations, etcExperience managing junior data science talentExperience in financial services industry
