Data Service Engineer 2
Job Title: Data Service Engineer 2 Location: Remote Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week Duration: 6 – 18 Months. Pay Range: $45/hr. - $50/hr. The Data Service Engineer 2 will design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs. This includes mainframe and client/server applications as well as significant enhancements to existing systems. The role requires strong technical skills, including SQL scripting, Power BI dashboard creation, and analytical capabilities. Top 3 Required Hard Skills & Experience 1. SQL Scripting: Minimum 2 years of experience 2. Power BI: Minimum 2 years of experience 3. Data Modeling: Minimum 2 years of experience Job Responsibilities: • Lead discussions and decisions on end-to-end Service Delivery for Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention. • Identify service improvements to streamline processes, enhance end-user experiences, reduce operating costs, and increase system protection. • Understand business needs and technical requirements to meet strategic objectives and daily service operations. • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional operations teams. • Collaborate with other service teams to resolve service-related challenges. • Evaluate service feature requests, prioritize them, and analyze their operational and cost impacts. • Guide engineering and operations teams through technology adoption and pilot deployment phases, including: • Business case and risk analysis for technology adoption/retirement. • Maintaining relationships with product groups, business partners, and cross-company protection service teams. • Lifecycle management, technology standards, and business architecture requirements. • Design and configure end-to-end service telemetry, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for platforms. • Conduct predictive analysis of service behavior through telemetry. • Automate failure mode simulations for resilience modeling. • Translate customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service expectations. • Own Live Site Reviews and corrective action plans for service issues. • Collaborate with service teams to establish prioritization of Live Site requirements during backlog discussions and standups.
