Data Services Application Development Manager

The Data Services Application Development Manager is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments in master data management space and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. This role requires practicing of designing, describing, and managing the delivery of technical solutions for business problems associated with Customer Data Management. Will oversee and lead the practice introducing the overall technical vision for a particular solution, bridging gaps between business problems and technology solutions around Customer Data Management. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Analyze current application technology stack and process for Customer Master Data management and help drive the solution in next generation way of managing customer master data

Current Technology stack include TIBCO, Java MicroServices, Ab-Initio, IBM MDM (Master Data Management), Oracle and MongoDB. Must be able to understand the current data flows in these technology stack, understand and able to articulate the scale of implementation

Build Customer Data Model

Design Customer Master Data management platform using real time integration via Java micro services, relational and non relation database for storage, Kafka for streaming and master data management using tools like IBM MDM or any other preferred way of doing

Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve

Create application development methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and implementation

Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates

Work closely with other Technology partners within the organization to ensure end to end integration is established as per approved enterprise architecture

Create product roadmap and design platform engineering capabilities

Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments

Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope

Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives

Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions

Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience covering the breadth of all technologies that we are looking for. Should have the ability to influence and negotiate.

Recognized leader, applying high-impact technical solutions to major business

Experience in designing customer master data management platform

Experience developing applications in multiple technology stacks like Java MicroServices, Relational and Non-Relational databases, batch processing and cloud infrastructure

Experience in Master Data Management project deliveries

Experience with database management concepts

Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level

Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes

Proven history of generating innovative and effective solutions

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner

Willingness to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred
