Summary

The sales manager is an important link within HPE. Together with the management and aligning with the company’s key priorities, (s)he builds a sales strategy and together with the sales team is responsible for achieving the sales objectives. His/Her duties include managing and motivating the sales staff, expanding the customer base and generating new opportunities. He/She also works with, for example, the marketing department to determine which storage solutions should be promoted to achieve those objectives.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Developing an effective sales strategy for the Dutch Storage market.Analysing market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.Act as a strategic advisor to customers to understand their storage needs and provide appropriate solutions.Leading the Storage Sales team. Responsible for achieving quarterly and annual turnover storage sales targets. Monitor the performance of the sales team and report results on quarterly business reviews.Continuously coach and develop the storage sales team through training and courses, but also by giving advice and conducting performance reviews, delve into potential new customers and/or leads to bring them in as regular customersKeeping track of market developments and trends in storage solutions, Hybrid Cloud and Artificial Intelligende (AI) technologies.Be creative together with the marketing team to keep our customers informed of developments and create interest in new storage-based solutions.Reporting sales performance to management and proactively making recommendations for improvement.Win with storage. Create pipeline and help the storage sales team closing the opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Typically, around 5 years of proven sales management experience within IT, Storage or datacenter sectorBachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, IT or a similar field.Knowledge about storage products and solutionsStrong commercial and strategic skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.Ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Result-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Analytically strong and able to use data to improve the sales strategy.Result-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.Team player with strong leadership qualities.Dutch native language is required as well as English
