This request is for a contractor to support the OIM Data Management and Data Governance teams. As part of the continuous improvement processes, we need a senior business analyst to undertake the exercise of documenting the underlying data structures 
Works as part of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Office of Information Management - Data Management and Data Governance teams to:1. Review the data related lineage and structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systemsa. Framework used during the review process:  Questions asked; surveys, assessments, documentation reviewed, etc.b. Framework developed to document lineage resultsc. Documentation of identified gaps or needs that limit effectiveness of the current environment2. Review the agency data solutions; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications3. Establish documentation standards and related access methodologies for internal and external stakeholder use (CKAN for data catalogs)4. Perform a gap analysis evaluation of the agency’s data landscape relevant to the industry and domain and recommends next steps5. Assist with agency self-assessment of data capabilities and maturity
