The Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is the principal advisor to the Montana Adjutant General regarding all real property, facilities, construction, and environmental management programs for the Montana Army National Guard (MTARNG.) CFMO manages the sustainment and recapitalization of existing real property and the construction of new facilities. CFMO manages over 1,600 assets: roughly 2M square feet of facility space and 29,000 acres of land. Our staff recognize that facilities represent capital investments by the federal and state government and therefore are dedicated to properly managing facilities and land to enable effective performance in all the Department of Military Affairs divisions. *Duties:* This position inputs and analyzes/evaluates critical data in multiple databases which identify projects and future funding for the Construction and Facilities Management Office. After analysis of the data the position will be responsible for developing reports and providing the information in relevant form to the end users which may be internal to the Construction and Facilities Management Office, National Guard Bureau, or other state agencies. *Duties and responsibilities include:* * review CFMO state and federal data bases, ascertaining volume of data input/ analysis required and developing databases appropriate to contain, analyze and report on the information; * receive, process, and ensure all information is entered in the data system; * compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entering the data; * return work that is inaccurate or request more information if needed; * ensure accuracy of processed information; * update information and resolve basic errors; * troubleshoot data processing or control service to identify training and technical assistance needs; * give instructions, answer questions, and provide feedback; * write business procedures; * develop, revise and test new or alternative processes and formats; * write or revise test scenarios for testing periodic form changes; * assess workflow to meet work unit goals and improve processing * review administrative and operational changes, procedures, and policies * interpret and implement policy matters and their impact on administrative or operations *The following items must be submitted to be considered for this position (be sure to mark each attachment as relevant): * * *Cover Letter * * *Resume * * *State of Montana Application (online) * *Education and Experience: * * Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field * Two (2) years’ experience in data analysis * Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted *Minimum Physical/Mental Requirements:* * May require 8 or more hours a day working on a computer * May require more than a 40-hour workweek *Typical Work Environment:* * Normal office environment, located at Fort Harrison, MT * Must be able to work physically on-site in the office 60% - 100% of the time * Telework eligible up to 40% based on business need after the probationary period **Title:** *Data Specialist * **Location:** *Helena* **Requisition ID:** *25140345*
