Job Title: Data Steward, Product Data Management
Location: Ewing, NJ - Hybrid (onsite Tues-Thurs, remote Monday and Friday)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $25 - $32 per hour based on experience
Duration: contract to 1/30/2025 (possible extension to 1 year)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Steward is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and assisting with continuous improvement of product data to support the business under the guidance of more senior data stewards or managers. This individual will work closely with functional groups to ensure that master and product data are analyzed, controlled, entered and released into MDM and PLM business systems in a timely manner, as dictated by business needs. The duties include proactive collaboration with data owners/requestors to ensure clarity to ensure completeness. Candidate will work on a limited set of data objects and/or business brands and grow that set over time to more objects and increasingly complexity. Will create, analyze, maintain, monitor and manage either master data in ERP and/or other integrated solutions in compliance with established service levels. Will audit data accuracy, enhance data quality, and train users to ensure continuity of results. Follow practices, policies and standards adopted by Enterprise Data Management (EDM). Identify areas of process and data weakness and escalate to appropriate EDM team leadership. Provide creative yet logical approaches to solving data problems utilizing established global and regulatory rules. Identify areas of process and data weakness and suggests methods of improvement. Apply policies and procedures to ensure uniform, accurate, and consistent data are present in support of SOX and/or Quality audit requirements. Provide testing support for upgrades, break fix, and enhancements, including integration testing from various sources to target systems.
Must Haves/Requirements: 6 months - 2 years of experience Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite Basic Formulas, VLookups, Pivot Tables, index matching Consumer Product Goods experience nice to have Agile PLM and SAP experience highly preferred Soft Skills: Good communication, eager to learn, multitasking/time management, ability to work independently, ability to take guidance from more senior members of the team
Education Requirements: Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business or related discipline 0 to 2 years’ experience in product lifecycle, ERP system or master data management system Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Basic understanding of CPG manufacturing process is a plus
Skills needed for this role: Good understanding of fundamental business processes and the effect of data downstream. Strong attention to detail with optimal organizational skills; focus on teamwork and follow-up. Logical, process-based approach to problem solving with an ability to learn and apply new information. Priority setting, organization, and project management skills. Ability to clearly communicate with a positive, professional attitude both in writing and orally. Capacity to work autonomously on multiple initiatives in a lean, fast paced, and action-oriented environment.
