About the Role:  

The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of the organization’s data assets. This role involves developing and implementing data management policies, standards, and practices to maintain high data quality and facilitate effective data governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to uphold data governance frameworks. What You’ll Do: 

Data Governance and Management

Develop, implement, and enforce data management policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data governance policies. Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.

Data Quality Assurance

Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across systems. Identify and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Implement data quality metrics and conduct regular audits to track and improve data quality.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with data owners, IT teams, and business units to ensure data governance practices are understood and followed. Facilitate data governance meetings and working groups to discuss data issues, improvements, and compliance. Provide training and support to data users on data governance policies and best practices.

Data Integration and Architecture

Collaborate with IT and data architects to design and implement data integration solutions. Ensure data architecture aligns with business requirements and supports data governance objectives. Participate in data modeling and database design efforts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data stewardship practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
