Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
1. Data Governance & Compliance
• HR data domain owner expected to coordinate with the Enterprise Data Governance and Strategy team, lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive HR data governance framework ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy regulations (GDPR, CPRA, etc.), and collaborate with compliance and legal teams to manage risks.
• Oversee data quality management, including the design and execution of processes for data testing, production monitoring, and metadata management.
• Monitor HR data assets to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and corporate governance policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate data quality issues and improve data governance processes.
2. Information Security
• Oversee the HR data security strategy, ensuring appropriate access controls, data encryption, and protection of sensitive information.
• Partner with the Information Security team to assure policies area aligned with controls to mitigate data risks and respond to cybersecurity threats.
• Develop and enforce policies for secure data sharing and collaboration both within the organization and with third-party vendors.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations regarding data storage, usage, and retention.
3. Data Architecture & Infrastructure
• Partner with engineering teams for optimal design of the HR data architecture to ensure scalability, efficiency, and integration across systems.
• Support the data needs for the organization through the support of HR data infrastructure, including cloud-based platforms and data lakes, that assures the proper integration of data sources to support reporting and analytics.
• Drive the strategy for data accessibility, leveraging emerging technologies to enable timely data insights and decision-making.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset to develop long-term data strategies that align with HR and corporate goals.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, security protocols, and modern data architecture tools.
• Collaboration: Ability to work in a matrixed environment, partnering with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess data risks, analyze large datasets, and deliver actionable insights.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data topics to a variety of stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Significant demonstrated experience in data governance, data security, or data architecture roles, preferably within HR or financial services.
• Extensive experience managing compliance and risk in a data-intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and information security best practices.
• Expertise in HR systems, data architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in data management, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, digital transformation, and data migration projects.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $165,325.00 - $194,500.00 - $213,950.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
