Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $91,000.00 - $121,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This Job
The main purpose of this job is responsibility for optimizing the value derived from the organization’s data assets and external data ecosystem. The position assists in the development of strategic plans and associated artifacts to align technology investment with business objectives for multiple business lines, and supports the portfolio of projects necessary to achieve them.
Essential Functions
Plan, prioritize, and lead the delivery of business projects and enterprise data initiatives
Support the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies and data literacy across the enterprise
Help develop and enforce standards to drive consistency and ensure pipeline resilience, data security, and data quality
Leverage internal and external relationships to improve service delivery and data capabilities
Serve as a mentor to junior team members
Develop and maintain artifacts to monitor the effectiveness of data strategy delivery (plans, roadmaps, assessment tools, dashboards, presentations, etc.)
Actively monitor and measure the organization’s progression in data maturity using industry assessment models
Perform research and monitor developments within the technology, data and banking industry
Facilitate periodic reviews between stakeholders and vendors/ data solution providers
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Extensive knowledge and consistent utilization of data management and analytic processes
Ability to plan and lead solution delivery using SDLC and project management methods
Basic knowledge of the banking and financial services industry
Basic knowledge of data security protocols, practices, and regulation
Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
Ability to handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Proactively identify and initiate action to remediate risks.
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with less tenured workers, peers, and first-level leaders
Ability to provide informal leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members (without direct reporting relationships in a matrix setting)
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, data analytic/BI tools, and project delivery software
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other STEM related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
5+ years of related data strategy and/or business enablement experience required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $91,000 to $121,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
