KBR is looking for a data focused and self-driven candidate to join the Mission Systems Operations Contract (MSOC) team at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The candidate will be highly involved in Mission Control Center operations and vital to mission success. This includes the following:

• Working data interfaces between systems and vehicles, such as the International Space Station, Lunar Gateway and numerous other human rated vehicles.
• Working with large sets of data within an Oracle database with a focus on problem/error resolution. The candidate must have a strong desire to dig into large data sets to find patterns and meaning.
• Some SQL and Bash scripting may be necessary; however, this role is not a software developer role.
• The candidate will generate data products and deliver those products to stakeholders.
• Handling and manipulation of large data sets used to define the data interfaces
• Enforcing internationally used data interface requirements to ensure compatibility across multiple systems and programs/vehicles
• Development of integration and test processes, as well as testing software as a front-end user
• Coordinate across a wide NASA community to ensure data/software compatibility between the Mission Control Center and multiple vehicles to guarantee both test and mission success.
• Integrate with numerous Flight Control groups to determine the data need for upcoming tests and flights

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Information Systems/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The position requires excellent organizational, technical, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and to shift priorities/workload requirements as dictated by programmatic changes. Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required for this position.

Desired Skills:
Entry level understanding of how different data and computer systems interact. Understanding of database concepts and systems, as well as data analysis techniques. Knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux and Microsoft Office products. While the candidate will not develop any software, the ability to understand the software life cycle is desired.

The following skills are desired and considered a plus but are not required: Familiarity with current NASA human spaceflight activities and proposed future vehicles, familiarity with space data, familiarity with data configuration management concepts.
