Data Transport and Circuit Logistics
Manage Logistics: Obtain quotes, draft orders, provision, fulfill, receive, track, schedule, and manage of information and communications technologies in support of the USCIS world-wide software defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN). Develop and recommend operational and organizational process improvements. + Identify, recommend, and assist with the implementation of data transport services. + Collaborate through updating/maintaining electronic shared folders, joint use spreadsheets, and various communication vehicles with customers, stakeholders, and vendors. + Manage hosted connections and/or hosted virtual interface, and other consumption-based services. + Coordinate with vendors to monitor order status and resolve issues. + Coordinate with the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) Provider for all standard facets of Networking and Telecommunications. + Perform the procedural steps of the fulfillment process. + Support work process flow including receiving and validating requests, supplier/vendor identification, request order processing, confirmation of delivery, receipt verification, maintenance of services inventory and closing transactions. + Monitor and respond to incoming service requests. + Assist Government PM in processing data transport requests to appropriate contract vendor. + Maintain branch service request database for all circuits order and decommissioned. + Provide customer satisfaction oversight and corrective action to resolve actual or perceived discrepancies in customer service. + Assist Government PM in providing quotes for services and equipment. + Validate service requirements and available funding. + Draft orders for approval/authorization from the federal manager or designated agency representative. + Place Government-approved orders with suppliers (vendor or GSA) for new equipment for moves, additions, changes and disconnects. + Monitor order status and manage through installation. + Communicate status changes on existing circuit orders with the Deployment Team(s) daily. + Escalate orders with the vendors to meet service delivery objectives. + Provide support for problem resolution during the service delivery period. + Update all records associated with the order including the end-user notification and internal order-tracking databases and file systems. + Manage the decommissioning and scaling of data circuits, coordinating with the Deployment Team and monitoring the process through to hand-off for billing verification. + Obtain federal manager approval to decommission the circuits. + Provide weekly disconnect updates to the Deployment Team(s). + Manage support issues for long distance outages, toll-free and international calling problems Maintain an accurate and current Circuit Tracking Database. + Maintain capacity, location, and carrier data. The data shall be entered into a circuit ordering database and the Circuit Order Tracking System (COTS) when appropriate and circulated for infrastructure engineering/management review. + Obtain Engineering/management approval of all data and voice transport orders. + Coordinate orders with local site points of contact and continually track orders through provisioning, installation, and activation. + Provide logistical support to include the scheduling of all activities associated with day- to-day deployments, technical projects, meetings, conferences, and required trips. + Support the preparation of policies, directives, procedures, and documentation for day-to-day operations. Maintain databases and/or records to ensure they are up to date. + Provide oversight to the designated Govt representative on the identification, ordering and placement of equipment, lines and cable for new offices, office expansions, relocations, system enhancements/additions, etc. + Support a multi-product and multi-vendor environment. + Assist in creating requirements documentation. + Assist staff through the necessary approvals and placement of orders. + Update/provide input to database(s) of work requirements, including work performed, lines provided, billing rates, and other related information. + Provide review of work progress and quality of work performed by the implementation vendors and/or service delivery organizations. + Coordinate activities with vendors, contractor personnel, our organizations and when appropriate other Government agencies. + Assist with budgetary cost projects for each fiscal year. + Provide data and voice circuit troubleshooting issues with carriers. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field or equivalent relevant experience. BS can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience. + 3+ years of experience. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role.
