What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus seeks a Data Visualization and Energy Program Analyst to join our Program Performance and Design team. This employee will conduct primary and secondary research and analyze information and data across varying formats. They will create data visualizations in the form of figures, infographics, and PowerPoint reports to communicate technical information and strategies on behalf of Cadmus’ energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs).

 

This employee will develop and conduct surveys and interviews, analyze research data, create figures and infographics, draft written reports and PowerPoint presentations, and support project management activities. This role will assist with projects that may include evaluating existing energy efficiency and electrification programs, market research, and program marketing and communications.

 

The ideal candidate has experience, professional or academic, in data visualization, program evaluation, social science research methods, marketing and communications, and/or energy efficiency or electrification programs. This candidate should have a strong interest in figure design best practices and visualizing technical information. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated to perform and learn, able to work collaboratively as well as independently, can manage assigned tasks from start to finish, and who has exceptional written, verbal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities Create Excel-based figures to showcase research findings and clearly convey takeaway messages.Create PowerPoint presentations and Word-based infographics and reports that are well-designed, simple, concise, and professional.Support market research, program evaluation, and marketing and communications projects.Help to develop high-quality data collection instruments, including interview guides and surveys.Conduct and/or support phone interviews and online surveys with utility program staff, program participants, contractors, and other market actors.Analyze survey, interview, and other data to identify trends, synthesize research findings, and draft actionable recommendations for client consideration.Write report sections that clearly explain program results, research findings, methodologies, and data sources, in addition to providing clear, actionable recommendations to clients.Conduct detailed reviews of your own project deliverables to ensure high-quality, accurate, and error-free work.Actively communicate and coordinate with project teams. Provide clear and consistent communications on projects and tasks and raise any concerns or issues.Communicate professionally (oral and written) with colleagues and clients, in varying time zones. Qualifications 0 – 2 years of professional or academic experience supporting market or social science research, marketing and communications, or program evaluation.Undergraduate degree in business, social sciences, economics, marketing, communications, or a related field. Experience creating high-quality data visualizations including figures, infographics, and PowerPoint presentations. Experience designing and conducting social science research, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and/or online research.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Strong interest in data visualization and figure design best practices.Able to accept feedback, learn, and use new knowledge to improve future work.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

Prior consulting or client-oriented work experience.Efficiency program, clean energy, electrification, or utility industry experience.Experience using research platforms (such as Qualtrics, FocusVision, or DeDoose).Experience using additional figure design software (such as Tableau or Power BI).Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical tools (such as Python, SAS, R, or Excel).

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
