Job Summary
The Data Warehouse Developer will primarily be responsible for advancing and managing the technical and logical design for the University data warehouse for improved data integration with business intelligence end-user tools.
The position plans, designs, builds, tests, and deploys data warehouse and data mart solutions to support the university operational and strategic reporting activities. The desired candidate will be an agile and creative thinker who will listen to what people are trying to achieve and infuse the possibilities that visual analytics can bring to the problem and create a solution that can be delivered with high quality.
Essential Functions
Lead data warehousing design plans, development, and testing. Develop data models that are flexible and sound. Collaborate with teams to develop sound physical, logical and presentation design for data integration. Develop a security model that is sustainable and secure. Provide Technical Documentation for enterprise operational and strategic reporting models.Required Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. (or equivalent experience). Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information. Minimum of 3-5 Years’ experience in data warehousing, data marts, data management or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in database and information systems technology. Proven experience with Advance SQL in Oracle, MS SQL Server, or other relational databases. Strong skills in time management and project management, including developing project plan documents, technical specs, detail design documents, and test strategy documents as part a development release strategy. Skilled in designing and documenting automated ETL processes and ability to create entity relationship diagrams. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of team. Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as to determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers.Preferred Qualifications
Data-modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level. Understanding of the differences between relational modeling and object modeling. Professional experience with multiple (two or more) business intelligence tools (OBIEE or Tableau preferred). Exposure to multiple (two or more) data integration tools. Delivery of at least three data warehouse/marts/lakes from specification through end-user acceptance testing. Exposure to machine learning and predictive analytics. Strong understanding of databases and data structures. Excellent written and verbal communication. Experience with data governance processes and approaches to ensure data is secure, private, accurate, available, and usable. Exposure to database administration skills and practices.Physical Requirements

This position is classified as an exempt grade P. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 90,430 to $ 135,640.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
