Physical Requirements This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Shift Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. May require some weekends and holidays per departmental needs. Job Summary The successful DBA Engineer III will provide tier 2 and some tier 1 support of all ITS incidents and requests for UK Healthcare database environment. Primary duties include incident and request intake, installation, configuration, documentation, and resolution. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of IT technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL Scripting, computing hardware, computing software, troubleshooting skills, and independent thinking. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience preferred.
