Abacus Technology is seeking a Database Administrator to provide management and support for enterprise level databases at Fort Johnson. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities Conduct studies to identify, evaluate, and recommend DBMS design concepts and/or available products based on a matching of system capabilities to validated user requirements. Determine file organization standards, table structures, indexing methods, replication schedules, and access controls for specific applications. Develop data queries and report generation formats. Monitor database usage, troubleshoot data compatibility and integrity issues, and make modifications for enhanced performance. Define and document database administration policies and procedures. Qualifications3+ years experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold or be able to obtain: MS SQL Server or Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional certifications. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification preferred. Thorough knowledge of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC). Experience developing tables, columns, triggers, stored procedures, and queries. Experience monitoring database usage, troubleshooting data compatibility and integrity issues, and making modifications for enhanced performance. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Organized, attentive to detail, and willing to pursue resolutions to issues as they arise. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
