RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic teamAs a DBA at Emory Healthcare, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databasesYou will work closely with other technical team members, developers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective database operationsDesign, implement, and maintain database systems to support business needs. ¿ Ensure the availability, performance, and security of databasesPerform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and disaster recoveryMonitor and optimize database performance using tuning and troubleshooting techniquesImplement and enforce security measures to safeguard database systemsCollaborate with development teams to design database schemas that support application requirementsEvaluate and recommend database technologies and toolsCreate and maintain documentation related to database configuration, processes, and proceduresTroubleshoot database-related issues in a timely mannerProvide on-call support for critical database issues outside of regular business hours

MINIMUM SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Proven work experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in healthcare industryStrong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)Proficiency in database design, normalization, and performance optimization techniquesExperience with database security best practicesFamiliarity with database backup and recovery solutionsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environmentRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus Additional Details
