Complete Description:

IN PERSON INTERVIEWS no exceptions. Interviews are going to be held on the 27th of August at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30.   Resumes are due to the manager on Monday the 25th.

 

The selected Consultants will work closely with the designated I.T. supervisor, project managers, database administrators ,other developers and other team members  in an iterative development environment. The work scope of the consultant will includes: working with backup/restores large databases, Data management views (DMVs) to troubleshoot performance related issues, database security, database file layouts, managing indexes, (including ColumnStore indexes) , query execution plans, transactions and concurrency.  

 

The day to day scope includes but not limited to:

-              Write new or modify existing SSIS packages to facilitate conversion process (complexity level medium – skill set neeed SSIS)

-              Write various tasks in SSIS, and stored procedures using T-SQL used by SSIS tasks (complexity level medium to high – skill set needed - SSIS combined with SQL Server developer)

-              Troubleshoot performance issues which may occur within SSIS, stored procedures or in the database (skills medium to high – skill set need DBA – how to make use of DMVs available in SQL Server to get to root cause of the problem)

-              Deploy conversion database in ATPS Blue in different environments, and support such as security, performance issues, etc. (complexity level medium – skill set needed DBA)

-              Manage, and deploy packages, database projects to start the conversion process (complexity level medium – skill set needed TFS, PowerShell, SSIS Project deployment model)

 

The selected resource will also  assist IT in our rewrite of the Automated Title Processing System (ATPS) databases from Oracle 9i to SQL Server 2012 using .NET technologies. The position will assist IT staff in data migration process (using SSIS as a primary tool), and rewriting of ATPS application.  SQL Server 2014 is being used in the conversion process.

1.            Eight (8) years of verifiable total Information Technology (IT) as a SQL Server database administrator (SQL Server 2008/2012/2014).

2.            Five (5) years of verifiable experience as SQL Server database developer (writing T-SQL, stored procedures, optimizing queries by using execution plan, etc.).

3.            Four (4) years of verifiable experience in data cleansing/conversion using scripts in SQL Server (SQL Server

2008/2012/2014).

4.            Four (4) years of verifiable experience in ETL/Automation using Integration Services (SSIS 2008/2012/2014).

5.            Two (2) years of verifiable experience in Data Warehouse using SQL Server 2008/2012.

6.            Must be able to understand and enforce SQL Server standards in creation and deployment of new database objects.

7.            Three (3) years verifiable experience in SQL Server security and maintenance of security objects.

8.            A demonstrable understand of object promotion strategies between  databases in different development environments (Dev, Test, QA, Production)

9.            Experienced in working with large databases of 300 GB or greater.
