The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a cleared Database Administrator who will be responsible for installation, replication configuration, SSL, query analysis / indexing and other performance tuning for enterprise database technologies (Primarily Oracle MySQL and PostgreSQL databases) at Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain security and integrity controls.

Formulate and monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.

Propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.

Identify customer database requirements and define optimal conceptual, logical and physical data models that address customer requirement and balances performance (e.g., indexes, views, snapshots) and storage (e.g., normalization, de-normalization).

Incorporate security, back-up, and disaster recovery into database designs as well as establish database parameters that maximize database performance.

Install, configure, and patche database management systems (DBMS) and write database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).

Control access permissions and privileges and ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly.

Conduct capacity planning.

Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security and provide Tier III support for the application technology stack.

Apply application, security, and database patches and verify shell/SQL scripts, packages, and stored procedures for system enhancements.

Install and configure third party products that integrates with the underlying application.

Qualifications:

Required: 

Must have an active Top Secret / SCI Clearance and willingness to obtain a Poly.

Must be 8570 IAT Level II compliant: such as Security+ CE.

Must have Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6 years of related experience or 10-15 years related experience.

DBMS systems such as MySQL 8, Postgres/GIS, and SQLServer.

Must be able to identify, implement, and troubleshoot potential improvements in implementation of the above solutions.

Must have knowledge of server certificates.

Must have experience with ATO processes and procedures associated with inspection preparation.

Must be able to implement the use of alternate authentication methods such as LDAP with DBMS systems.

Must be able to setup mentioned DBMS systems and have the ability to research, setup and test any others that may improve our data storage, search, and retrieval environment.

Willingness to branch out from database work to assist integrating with applications, working within SPLUNK to show trends and identify irregularities.

Desired:

VMware ESXi: able to deploy and manage Linux guest hosts in a virtual environment.

Puppet Configuration Management.

Linux & Windows Shell Scripting: Bash, PowerShell.

Unix/Linux administration skills (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS).

Experience with Geo-Server, Geo Web Cache and Open-Layers GIS Tools: ArcGIS.

Statistical data management and extraction utilizing Spunk.

Basic understanding of LDAP.

Knowledge of other programming languages & tools (e.g., Java, Perl, Python.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,000 - $163,800
