We seek a skilled and motivated Data Base Administrator to join our dynamic DevOps team.

Join the field of Network Technology within our R&D department which contributes to the evolution of the next generation of leading networking products. We are building firmware, SDK, simulators, and compilers for Cisco Silicon One™ architecture and work in developing pioneering technology.

Who You'll Work With

The team is working on the new generation of silicon, which will be part of all Cisco device families and drive the future of the Internet.

You will be part of the CI/CD team responsible for stability of development infrastructure, with focus on supporting our DB infrastructure on which all our tools are relaying.

This is an opportunity to work with worldwide distributed Cisco R&D centers and learn from the best engineers in the field.

What You'll DoDeliver crucial database solutions that enhance the scalability, integrity, and security of our database infrastructureDevelop and implement tools to proactively supervise SQL database servers, ensuring continuous uptime and availability across multiple data centersFix and fine-tune database engines to improve efficiency and performanceDesign and develop robust big data systems using Elasticsearch technology to drive sophisticated analytics and real-time data processing solutionsWho You AreDemonstrable experience with relational (MySQL databases), and NOSQL databasesExperience in database backup, recovery, networking, and administrationHands-on experience in configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing database software and related productsBasic programming knowledge (SQL, scripting, Python, …)Academic education in computer technology (finished BSc/MSc studies)Ability to work independently and in a team environmentProficiency in spoken and written EnglishBonus PointsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsPrevious experience with Big data systemsRelevant certifications in database management or related fields are preferredExperience with Elastic Stack technologiesWhy Cisco
