Description We are offering an opportunity for a Database Administrator in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be working with Linux Technologies, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and other related technologies to manage and optimize our databases. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the IT industry. Responsibilities: • Design and implement database structures in Azure and SQL environments • Use PowerShell for task automation and configuration management • Perform optimization and AB Testing to ensure database performance • Conduct regular backup procedures using relevant technologies • Handle database administration tasks such as configuration management and cluster analysis • Use MySQL and Microsoft SQL for database management and operations • Address any issues related to database performance, capacity, and replication • Ensure the security and integrity of the database by developing access controls and disaster recovery protocols • Use Linux technologies for various administrative tasks and server management • Utilize Microsoft Azure SQL Database for cloud-based database solutions. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a related role • Proficiency in Linux Technologies is required • Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL is necessary • Knowledge of Optimization and AB Testing is desirable • Experience with Backup Technologies and Cluster Analysis is beneficial • Must have a strong understanding of Configuration Management • Prior experience in Database Administration is vital • Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and Microsoft SQL is expected • Proficiency in PowerShell, PowerShell Scripting, and Windows PowerShell is required • Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
