Position Description
Maintain and Troubleshoot Windows SQL Server 2008 backend to a Case Management System in development.
Skills Required
Experience in database administration for MS SQL Server (2008 and 2012). · Strong knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. · Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. · Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. · Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. · Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. · Strong knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics. · Knowledge of implementing security in classified databases. · Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations. · Good communication and documentation skills.
Skills Preferred
BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred 4-8 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices 3-8 years Microsoft SQL Server experience Certification is a plus; MCTS, MCITP, MVP
