Job description:

· This position is accountable for providing and implementing end-to-end solutions for large & complex projects involving data sub-setting, data masking, data archiving and data refresh using IBM Optim. 

The successful candidate will have prior experience with tools/technologies used for data sub-setting, data masking, etc. 

Responsibilities: 
Understand the Data sub setting requirements and ensure masked data is in line with test cases 
• Understand the database eco-system 
• Design Queries and analytic processes 
• Work with IBM Optim and implement the initiatives covering all databases for de-identifying sensitive data in nonproduction environments 
• Operationalize data masking needs in pre-production environments with later possibilities to work on dynamic data masking in production environments 
• Create framework for copying /moving data into/from data structures (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) 
• Perform data platform monitoring, tuning and optimization 
• Work with DBA team and perform capacity planning for all data platform environments 
• Automate the data masking/ data archive solutions using various mechanisms 
• Ensure compliance with various US HIPAA regulations and requirements.

Qualifications: 
• Minimum 5 years of Relational Database experience. 
• Extensive experience with Relational Databases, including writing SQL queries, data mining, physical DBMS design understanding and automation of data masking/ data archiving solutions.
• Experience with Java / Perl or other scripting languages 
• Experience working with IBM Optim 
• Experience working with flat files a strong plus. 
• Knowledge of the physical design of databases. 
• Knowledge of Hadoop is a plus. 
• Knowledge of Mainframe DB2 
• Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field with 4+ years directly related experience. 
• 2+ years’ experience in UNIX/LINUX environments showing demonstrated 
o Intermediate to Advanced Unix skills and experience is preferred 
• Experience with Oracle, DB2 and/or SQL Server databases. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment; must be flexible. 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, particularly in teams.
