- The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management.
- DBA to complete four primary objectives over a short period of time.
1. The Contractor will be tasked with continuing the process of migrating the existing E Business suite environments to a new physical storage structure that is in line with Oracle best practices.
2. The Contractor will rework the existing environment cloning procedures and create process documentation to enable more efficient and less error prone cloning procedures using Oracle best practices. These cloning procedures will assist in creating test environment in a timely manner in the future in support of development, testing, and patching procedures.
3. The third objective is for the Contractor to work with and train existing company Oracle database staff in proper patching procedures for the Oracle E Business suite environment.
4. The final objective for this resource is to re-architect and migrate the existing Production and UAT E Business suite environments to a high availability and disaster recovery solution that closely matches that of the projects database and supporting project applications
The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management. Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and production tools used for data storage management to support the Application Team.
DBA4
Years of Relevant Experience: 7 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description: All roles specified in DBA3 plus the following:
Participates in Database Management System selection and maintains database performance.
Knowledge of various Database Management System products.
Provide status of work to Project Team Lead.
Engage in ongoing process improvement.
