Description We are on the lookout for a dedicated Database Administrator to join our team in the financial services industry. This role is based in Rocklin, California, offering a long term contract employment opportunity. As a Database Administrator, you will be the lead in maintaining SQL servers and related applications for our organization. You will be working in an on-prem and VMWare ecosystem, supporting work for offices both within California and out-of-state. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance of SQL servers to ensure optimal performance • Set up VM systems as part of the server environment • Manage SQL 2019 and limited developer servers to meet organizational needs • Handle a collection of 3rd party applications used within the company • Perform accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications • Maintain precise customer credit records for reference and future use • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required • Utilize Microsoft Power BI and other cloud applications as part of your role • Implement backup technologies and configuration management for data safety and security. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Database Administrator role within the Financial Services industry • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure is required • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory • Familiarity with MySQL is expected • Demonstrable skills in Optimization and AB Testing • Practical knowledge of Backup Technologies is necessary • Proficient in Configuration Management • Strong background in Database Administration • Experience with SQL Server Business Intelligence is a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is desirable • Familiarity with Power BI is an asset Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
