Database Administrator

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to be part of our team in Live Oak, Texas, United States. The Database Administrator will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring performance, availability, and security. The position involves a high degree of collaboration with IT and Business Intelligence teams, as well as a focus on database performance optimization.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the design and structure of databases and schemas to ensure optimal performance.
• Work closely with the IT Service Desk team to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to enhance data models, support reporting needs, and streamline data flows.
• Implement, oversee, and manage data integration processes to ensure efficient data exchange between systems.
• Utilize ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake.
• Develop, implement, and maintain database policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware or software technologies to enhance database performance.
• Manage user access and security role development.
• Revise data dictionary definitions as needed.
• Merge older databases with current databases to streamline operations. Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Database Administrator role or similar
• Proficient in Linux Technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is necessary
• Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiarity with MySQL is a requirement
• Proven background in Optimization
• Experience in AB Testing is crucial
• Demonstrable knowledge in Backup Technologies
• Proficiency in Cluster Analysis is required
• Experience in Configuration Management is essential
• In-depth knowledge of Database Administration is necessary
• Experience with Snowflake is a plus
