Description We are providing an opportunity for a Database Administrator in the Communications industry, based in SOLON, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where the individual will primarily focus on maintaining and optimizing our databases, utilizing a range of skills including Linux Technologies, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement database structures in alignment with company requirements and optimization practices.
• Manage database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
• Utilize Linux technologies for system management and performance tuning.
• Leverage Microsoft Azure for cloud database management and backup technologies.
• Operate Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL for database administration and configuration management.
• Conduct AB Testing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Perform regular system backups and recovery, employing backup technologies as necessary.
• Conduct cluster analysis to evaluate the characteristics of data in different clusters.
• Ensure the effective configuration management of the database systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve system performance and efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration
• Proficient in Linux Technologies
• Experienced with Microsoft Azure
• Mastery of Microsoft SQL Server
• Skilled in MySQL
• Knowledgeable in Optimization techniques
• Experience with AB Testing
• Familiar with Backup Technologies
• Strong knowledge of Cluster Analysis
• Proficient in Configuration Management
• Proven experience in Database Administration
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
