Database Administrator
Description We are in the IT consulting industry, located in HORSHAM, Pennsylvania, offering an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing critical database systems, guiding database operations, and enhancing the use of data within our organization. Responsibilities: • Oversee, design, and implement critical database systems that support our 24x7 SAAS platform • Lead and enforce policies and procedures that govern data operations, security, and management • Contribute to project management and sprint ceremonies to deliver effective solutions • Guide and mentor the database team for continuous growth and learning • Communicate constructively with team members, other teams, and stakeholders • Ensure the database design and operations cater to the availability, scalability, and recovery needs of the business • Perform tuning and capacity management to meet the performance expectations of the business • Direct developers and engineers on database development, design principles, query optimization, and index management in a fully automated deployment pipeline • Support development and testing processes, including test data setup, automated testing scenarios, and dev/test environment data refreshes • Research and incorporate emerging database technologies and trends to enhance data use and databases within the organization • Ensure compliance with HIPAA security policies within the database platform • Provide on-call coverage for production support and management. Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience in Linux Technologies • Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure for various IT tasks • Mastery of Microsoft SQL Server for managing and storing information • Solid understanding and experience with MySQL • Ability to perform Optimization tasks to improve system efficiency • Familiarity with AB Testing methods and their implementation • Knowledge of Backup Technologies to ensure data safety • Experience in Cluster Analysis for data management • Skilled in Configuration Management to maintain system consistency • Proven experience in Database Administration Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
