As a Database Administrator, you’ll ensure the databases that support our technology systems are designed and performing as needed and providing the necessary data to the appropriate team members.

About the Role

Work with developers and business analysts to create and modify our database structure.Monitor the performance of database servers.Perform database maintenance tasks, including backups/restores, updating statistics, and rebuilding indexes.Collaborate with data engineers to map data in production databases to our data warehouse.Maintain system security and data integrity.Work with systems engineers to ensure optimal hardware and storage subsystems.Develop, manage, and maintain a strong disaster recovery and high availability plan.Install, upgrade, and patch database servers.Participate in code and design reviews.Participate in production code pushes.

About You

Key Requirements:

Experience with MS SQL and increasing use of PostgreSQL. NoSQL experience would be a plus.Familiarity with on-premises environments, AWS, and Azure.Experience with on-premises bare metal and VMs.Mid-level to senior-level candidates preferred.Open to in-person office work but also considering remote options.On-call duties will be shared among the team.Terraform and Kubernetes (K8) experience would be a plus.Looking for someone interested in the ins and outs of being a DBA.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 year of experience with SQL Server T-SQL coding.3 year of experience with SQL Server database administration.3 year of experience with SQL Server Integration Services.3 year of programming experience.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.Proficiency in the Azure management platform.Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
