Summit Technical Solutions (STS) (http://sts-llc.com/) is seeking a Database Administrator - to provide support for the for the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) under the on the Command Information Management Systems (CIMS III) contract at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. General Position Description: This position requires 5 to 7+ years of experience gathering custom software requirements, designing database tables, working with customers, building custom Microsoft ASP.NET applications using Visual Studio, database administration, preferably Oracle, and working with an Oracle database back end, as well as administering an Oracle Linux server. Duties include; a significant Cyber Security component keeping operating system, Oracle database and application suite in compliance with the latest Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs). This employee will also need to work with other members of the G6 team from time to time to make sure the application, database and operating system are in compliance with the latest STIGs, weekly vulnerability scans, and remain available for users with very little downtime. Other duties include: Providing continuity training to key personnel for technical redundancy. Required SkillsRequired Experience + This position requires a level of expertise in database administration which will allow the employee to perform the duties with little or no assistance. + Knowledge of using VSphere desired. + Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. + A minimum of Security Plus certification required. + Knowledge and experience of SQL preferred. + Experience in Software development preferred.
